The "Choice of pallettes" band presents a series of triangles allowing, when touched, to access different pallettes of tools.
• The green triangle indicates the tool palette currently displayed.
• The red triangles indicate the available tool palettes. To display a palette, touch the corresponding red triangle. This becomes green and the requested palette is displayed below.
• A gray triangle indicates that the corresponding palette is disabled, because the tools it contains are unsuitable for the current situation.
Example: the "IMAGES" palette when the current file does not contain an image field.
Role of tool palletes
- The "RECORD" palette is used to create a record, to save or restore the current record, or to delete one or more records.
- The "ENTRY" palette contains check boxes to set certain types of entries.
- The "MARKING" palette concerns the marking functions of MaBase.
- The "RESEARCH" palette allows to search for an expression in a field or in all the fields of the file, according to certain criteria chosen with checkboxes.
- The "DISPLAY" palette sets the display of the records of the current file.
- The "MEMO" palette allows you to memorize or delete references to a selection of records, or to display a stored selection.
- The "EDITION" palette allows to set and edit listings or tables of data. It also contains a search / replace function.
- The "IMAGES" palette is dedicated to the acquisition, deletion or display of images in a file. This palette is disabled when the current file does not contain an image field.
