The upper palette of the "File" module opens when you insert the cursor into a field, along with the keyboard. It closes automatically when you leave the field. This palette contains buttons related to the record or the text of the selected field.
>>> To close it manually, touch the "close the keyboard" button, or touch the bottom of the card.
Button "save"
Saves the current record.
Button "new record"
Creates a new record.
Button "edit"
Edit the contents of the selected field, that is, the one in which the cursor is inserted, or in which text is selected. This edition is done in an enlarged text frame with all standard text input features, including dictation input.
>>> Only this edition allows access to these standard functions, because the ordinary fields of the file are treated in another way.
>>> Attention: the "copy", "cut" and "paste" functions of the edit field are different from those of ordinary fields. They only work between different edit fields or between different software.
Check box "edit in landscape"
>>> This function is reserved for the moment at the iPad
When this box is checked, the edition of the selected field is done in "landscape" format and no longer in "portrait" format. This gives you a wider and more convenient keypad for typing.
Button "select all"
Selects all the text of the field in which the cursor is inserted, or in which text is selected.
Button "copy"
Copy the selected text.
Button "paste"
Paste the copied text where the cursor is inserted, or replace the selected text.
Button "cancel"
Cancel the last collage.
Button "Close the keyboard"
Closes the keyboard and the upper palette.
